Going through my modest collection looking for errors and oddities (and freaks) I came across an interesting, singular error on the 1977-1982, 17cent, First-Class Definitive #789as. A rare, double image: How often these kinds of errors occur in the same printing, I don't know. But I hope and expect someone will comment on it to enlighten us all. This is listed in the Canada specialised Unitrade catalogue. It appears to be a booklet single, from Scott # Bk80c Not rare and they did occur quite often hence the lower catalogue value. Still, a very nice example which shows quite well.
Grist for the mill. I don't have the Unitrade Specialized Catalogue to refer to but it doesn't sound as though it's going to pay off my mortgage. What value does it have?

Very interesting to see the value breakdown which perhaps suggests that the stamp will be worth hanging on to. Based on that write up, is it really a double printing error, or a color shift creating the optical illusion of a double printing? I suspect that's why the moderate value; color shifts are relatively common, compared with true errors, this one just has a most unusual result.
