Does anyone know how to positively identify if this washington 5c is on "bluish paper"? I've tried the bright orange background approach. I've read it's in fact supposed to be greyish paper as the stamp is made from a % of rag /wastage. Apparently the bluish paper ones are rare? Any thoughts or help gratefully received from someone who knows their stuff more than me. Thanks

The 'bluish paper" variety is perf 12. Your stamp is perf 11, which must make it a Scott 504.
