Wow, quite the major misplaced entry, Ralph would have been thrilled to see. Thanks for sharing it. |

Agree that Ralph Trimble would have been very happy to have this example. To me, I see indications of the upper left corner of the stamp printed onto the area of the bottom. I put red lines beside the areas which (to me) seem to be at the bottom of the stamp, shifted left a small bit. Comments welcome. |

I will give this thread a bump, the editor of Dots and Scratches (a BNAPS newsletter) would probably love to add a write-up on this. There are several known misplaced entries on this issue, and I wouldn't be surprised if this one added new information to those yet to be plated. I know he sells here and is an occasional lurker. |

I don't think re-entry on your second example. Could be an extensive engraver's slip, or just an inking problem (in my opinion). |

Hi, Variety bin it goes... Here this one. Top, each side of center, two parallel marks like on M Trimble Site for this issue Edward 1 cent green. Example Re-Entry Nr. 25. Not the same Re-entry I think. Probably another position? And like M Trimble wrote when having a damaged stamp: "At least I have one" Hornet |

The Numeral and Edward definitive issues can be immense fun for the variety seeker to study. One can still find, and buy cheaply, bundleware for research. The potential for new eyes to make new finds is high. Peter Spencer studied these at length, and published several interesting books on them, available through BNAPS booksellers. |

Hi, This Major one which looks similar to the #5 on Re-Entries.com. We do not see much of the #5 since there is only one image for the LL corner. This one has pretty much the same on the LL corner but also the doubling of the cape. Hornet Left normal stamp |

Lovely re-entry.
For those who are interested, the Greene Foundation has started a legacy website to allow re-entry researchers to access the late Ralph Trimble's work. Its focus was on Canada, but one can also find scattered worldwide listings.

The "re-entries.com" website is no longer active.
