This cover originated from the NZ Postal Agency on Pitcairn Island sometime late in 1937. Unfortunately, the strike on NZ #217 (SW.C), a one-penny stamp from a series of airmail stamps issued in 1935, could have been better.

Our man in Entebbe made up for the short comings on the remote island with a neatly placed postmark because the letter, now in Uganda, needed to be forwarded to Kampala.
