dip in fluid to remove the partial hinge would help. once dried, setup a light low to the table and take another picture. it should high light the grill.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I haven't yet had the time to soak the hinge remnant off. I don't have any regular watermark fluid left either, but I do have some lighter fluid. I'm a bit scared to soak this stamp because it has some creases and small hints of perforation damage that I don't want to get worse. I'll see what I can get to on this soon.
Removed the hinge remnant. Definitely a grill there. However, with the initial water dip, fluid later, and every possible angle with light, I still cannot be certain which grill. Going with F grill and will mark that it's just my somewhat educated guess.
