I have obtained this Argentine stamp SC#7H, and since some time ago I obtained a fake copy that I consulted with the forum obtaining very good information about fake copies, I think that this one could be authentic. Specifically, a type II issued in 1864: 11 lines on the shield and 72 pearls with the C narrow, the correct dot after the 5 and the two AAs with the correct shape. However, I would like to know your opinion since it is a stamp with high catalog value since it is MNH.

It looks like a Lange forgery to me, but that might just be the color in the scan. Here is mine:

I can't vouch for the color... but the print seems too sharp to be a "Lange forgery", all the details can be seen with great quality, each line, even in complex areas, is very well defined.
I can't see the image of your stamp, I don't know if it's a problem with my browser

It may be your scan but the quality level of the engraving and printing of your stamp does not meet that of a genuine example. Here is a multiple of 7H from Cherrystone Auctions:

Well, after seeing the original copy of this website http://albumdeestampillas.blogspot....gentina.html and Rogdcam´s picture, I affirm that mine is 99% Lange… at least the damn thing could have cut it well from the page and left me good margins…
It makes me sad that it's not the original, but on the other hand I'm making a good collection of forgeries ones with "pedigree" that are starting to form a nice group...

@floortrader, although your original stamp and mine match the minimum characteristics and even in detail with the pearls of the scan that Rogdcam posted... I think the color does not match the original, which should be more red and while ours point to vermilion...I don't appreciate it in yours but mine has some flaws that are a red flag..

One thing that pops right out on the OP's stamp are the cross at the bottom of the wreath between Argentina and Republic is indistinct whereas the real stamps have distinct elements. The other is the inner frame line at the bottom is distinct and flattens out from below the center of the E in Centavos whereas on the OP's stamp it is indistinct and flattens out under the left side of the N of Centavos. The background lines on the OP's stamp are much less clean and distinct.
