I have obtained these stamps from Peru and I have problems cataloging them, I hope you can help me. The group seems to be from the provisional issues for Arequipa SC#3N23 and SC#3N26, but the fact is that they do not have an overprint and I don't know how to catalog them. Scott says that there are reprinted copies without an overprint, then he adds that the originals have mesh. How do I catalog my copies? My stamps have a visible mesh as I catalog them. Original without overprint?

Interesting group. Never seen those before.

According to Scott these are 3N23a and 3N26a, which are reprint/reissue without overprint.

3N26a's look very rough even for provisional stamp and on the paper different from 3N23a. Wonder if they are fakes? Or maybe stationary cutouts, if those are known.

I think the SC#3N26 are correct since Scott also adds thick paper, but the SC# used but without the overprint does seem very strange to me….

The gray stamp (coat of arms) was used with and without overprint.
The ones with Colonel Bolognesi's portrait circulated with overprint only. Those without overprints are considered as "not issued".
