*** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***
Hello gentlemen,
this one is from my late fathers collection.
1851 Yellow Merkur Newspaper Stamp
He obtained it in former Czechoslovakia from a largest Paper Mill Company where his cousin used to worked at in 1960's.
He was an avid stamp collector but never had this one authenticated - as the access wasn't as accesible there as it is now.
I am aware that there are forgeries and reprints, so I am trying to figure out in which category this specimen falls into.
Any assistance or advise will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry nobody can help you here, they can give you advice on where to send it to have it expertized . But looking at a scan here doesn't work.

The colors and the printing of these stamps are very poor, and it is often very difficult to detect the characteristics of the genuine stamp. Poor printing as the plates soon became worn cause real problems for anybody try to give a correct opinion.

The image below is typical of the three Austria P2's that Siegel has sold. The color and weak impression of the pictured stamp are typical of all three as Floortrader noted.

The margins on your stamp are also unusual being so large and yet showing no adjacent stamps. Could be printer's waste?

In any case, Floortrader gives good advice to have it expertized if you choose.

After a little more review my money is on fake. The link below from Hip Stamp shows multiple P2's, at least one of which has a bad Sismondo certificate, which are forged/fake. The color is a dead giveaway.
