Hello everyone,

I thought I'd share my latest acquisition and hopefully get some thoughts on how to authenticate it
I believe it may have been written by Albert Smith the famous author and mountaineer,

States it was exhibited at the Dorland Hall exhibition in 1936, the paper cut out is from the weekly stamp collectors magazine stamp collecting Dec 12th 1936, I believe they also sponsored the event, I'm convinced they're more info in the magazine but I've exhausted all avenues to find a copy,

I've used chat gpt to no avail either in finding an earlier poem or proving that he wrote it. It states courtesy of G Fripp, I also think this may be George Fripp the artist?

Dated 1841

Any help will be appreciated..

I was willing to pay a lot more for it, it was a general sale I don't think people really looked at it or realised it's potential,

quick update:

I've emailed the RPSL research department and sent them some photos, I figure if anyone has the catalogue or info it will be them, i'm surprised I couldn't find a copy, the stamp covers and exhibition labels are readily available but seems the catalogues not so well regarded? Same with stamp collecting magazine, gibbons monthly has a full archive available to search.
ill update further if they reply,

I've seen a few items of Albert Smiths memorabilia sell at auction including a fan depicting his assent of Mont Blanc, The overland mail illustrated covers I haven't seen before but i'm guessing they were produced to advertise his show/talk about his journey, they seem to be highly prized.
