I have a pair of these stamps. They look like SG 101 and SG 112 combined in a pair, which is rather impossible. They are probably some kind of second printing variation.
Too close for me to make a clear call , need someone who has a better inventory than me . Since there was more than one printing ,I would say they are real .
I don't collect South Africa but I do have a "Stanley Gibbons Commonwealth and British Empire Stamps Catalogue 1840-1970" 2016 edition. I see a listing for SG112b - Pair, one with level stops. 15 pounds unused.
