I just got this Japanese example. I think it's a tax stamp, or something similar... I don't know the year yet, but it must be from the 1940s. I think the cancellations are very beautiful, and that's why I wanted to show it to you, especially the little Hanko stamp at the top. I know it's not much, but I'm really excited about it, and I wanted to share it...

Your tax stamp is from the 1898 to 1909 period.
