Does anyone know what the final postal rates for July 2025? All I can find is that the 78 cent first class and the 62 cent post card rates are still "proposed." Granted these days it is pretty much a rubber stamp for approval, but it would be good to know what the final rates would be. I mail out 1,776 postcards for our stamp show and a penny here or there makes a difference, especially when one uses old stamps ;)

stamp fulfillment is charging $.78 for the 1st class forever stamp for the July issues, so I think it's a done deal (rubber stamped).

Ah good point. The 62 cent postcard rate really hits stamp shows hard. It's a stiff increase. I was hoping for 60 cents, much more easy to make that up with old stamps.

Odd for new rates to not be official with only a few weeks remaining before they are to take effect.

Stock up on postcard rate stamps now. I did that on additional ounce stamps during the brief period not long ago when they sold for 15 cents.

They're gonna need a new stamp for the Priority Mail rate increase. None of the PM or Express Mail stamps are Forevers.

The non-machinable surcharge will be 49 cents.

to Google: "are the july 13 postal rates finalized"
from Google: "Yes, the USPS has announced new mailing rates effective July 13, 2025. These rates are considered finalized, as they have been reviewed and approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC). "
("When..." ans.: May 30, 2025).

But in reply to the OP's concern about postcards: note that the finalized postcard rate is 61 cents, not 62.

While Google's AI answers are incredibly fast and useful sometimes, it helps to double check the facts with the references that are provided.

I wanted to verify the dates and rates again myself tonight and entered a simple query into Google "USPS rate increase 2025" and it told me that in July 2025, First Class Mail stamp prices will remain unchanged, at 73 cents. What?

Yet the first linked article says right there "The new rates include a 5-cent increase in the cost of First Class Mail."

Digging deeper using the "Dive Deeper" button, it clarifies that there were two price increases in 2025, January and July. My query about the "2025" rate increase was ambiguous. Here it correctly states the 78 cent rate after the July increase, but then for the January rate increase it says "The cost of a First Class Mail (1 oz.) stamp remained at $0.69" What? When was the first class rate ever 69 cents? Certainly not in January 2025.

One of the referenced links is from Pitney Bowes which quotes 73 cents for stamped mail and 69 cents for metered mail.
So Google's answers here are not quite helpful because they lack important context.
YMMV.

Thank you everyone for helping me out. Yup, not very easy to find the answer here. Funny that we are now two weeks away from this and we still don't know for sure! Having the postcard rate at 61 cents instead of the proposed 62 cents is like winning two dollars in the lottery. I guess I can go the post office on July 14th and they might know by then ;)

I asked about the proposed rates at my post office yesterday and was told they are also waiting to hear, hopefully before July 13.

They had no information regarding Priority Mail rates or a new stamp for same.

Pay whatever you want, they don't seem to care. I can't remember the last time I received a letter postage due. It clearly can't be worth the labor to collect a due amount of just a few cents. Now if you mail out 1500 postcards or letters at the same time, they may call you out on it. Or not.

ZebraMan.... Hmmm... I could mail all the postcards without postage and collectors could get interesting postal markings, or they could show up at the next club meeting with burning torches and pitchforks...
