I have been collecting since the 70's in elementary school.

My father died last year And I have been combining our collections, which has been quite an ordeal.

As I get older I start thinking that I should divest myself of since of the numerous extras that I have as I continue to catalog my father's collection.

I am also thinking about sending specific stamps in for expert review.

I find it sad that nobody in my personal life has any interest in stamps.

I mostly collect USA stamps and am partial to player numbered stamps.

Although I do have envelopes and postcards, I am running out of space and thinking about getting rid of some of these.

My father had many British stamps so I am working to understand some of those.

Welcome to the community. Looks like you have an understanding of what you have, and thoughts on how to proceed. Unfortunately, a lot of us have the same lack of interest in family members and other close friends, but don't let that stop you. Get involved with local stamp clubs, and you'll be meeting new friends with similar interests before you know it. Stick around, and post some of the items which you are considering for expert review (we like to add our "expert" opinions on almost everything.)

There is a local stamp club. Think I will check them out.

Good advice on the things I was thinking about having evaluated, I have been shocked at how quickly some interesting questions have been answered.
