The 1934 Chilean airmail stamps are heavily art deco, in particular, from 60 centavos up to 50 pesos. I feel fortunate to have these mint examples. |

Here are two sets of simply stunning designs from Mexican artist Francisco Eppens. He designed a massive variety of stamps for Mexico from 1935-1950. Many, though not all, of his designs feature his signature. He is quite possibly one of the most important Mexican stamp designers and has quickly become my favourite stamp designer overall. I have a growing collection of Eppens stamps. I have been waiting nearly 2 months for some to arrive in the post, which is unfortunate and very annoying. This first set is called "Man At The Helm", and was issued to commemorate the inauguration of President Manuel Avila Camacho on the 1st of December 1940. The second set was issued to commemorate the Interamerican Agricultural Conference 1942. |

Thank you, Ellie88 for starting this thread. I have been collecting Art Deco for several years now and my collection is up to three volumes. If that sounds like a lot, it's not that there are so many Art Deco stamps out there, it's because I've broadened the criteria for inclusion in my collection, and many pages have just one stamp or one cover. By broadening the criteria I mean including not just stamps, but covers, cachets, cancellations. revenues, airmail etiquettes, advertising labels attached to stamp sheets, and, the biggest part of the collection, Cinderellas, of which there are far more than conventional stamps. I even have a small metal case used as a desk accessory for holding booklet panes. The case has beautiful Art Deco engraving. Here is my latest acquisition, a souvenir sheet issued by La Poste late last year to commemorate the centenary of the Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industrielle, the 1925 Expo in Paris, abbreviated to Art Deco that gave the movement its name. It reproduces two of the designs from the 1925 commemorative set in roughly the same colors as the original but in Euro denomination, and with an Art Deco border. The sheet was issued in a limited edition of 12,000 copies and was available for sale at the 2024 Philatelic Expo as part of a package that included a 2025 diary and two sheets of stickers. |

Here is another one of my favourites by Eppens. An art deco motorcycle-sidecar rider. And another Mexican stamp, this one is for the 1935 Industrial Census and has a great image of a representation of industry, agriculture, and labour. |

@waddsbadds Hopefully you can share as much of your collection as you can and I can put what you post on my wantlist if I don't already have it. I also collect art deco artefacts, such as clocks, watches, ceramics (ie. Fiestaware), jewellery, uniforms, and other random objects. |

Another stamp in my collection is this Netherlands tax revenue stamp. It was used to pay tax on various documents. I bought a nice ready-made Netherlands collection from Apfelbaum a couple of years ago and this was in there. I just have the one, although this design was issued in many denominations from one cent to 5 Gulden, and it's an example of where I have just one stamp on a page. I enhance the pages by printing a border, the country name in an Art Deco font, a small Art Deco clip art motif from a CD ROM of public domain images, in the upper left hand corner and a write up of the particular item. |

@waddsbadds That stamp is simply incredible and I want one. This is exactly what I intended for this thread, for people to post art deco stamps that I can then add to my wantlist, knowing what you're looking for makes finding it easier. |

Here are some that I purchased recently. The Varig Ikarus stamps from Brazil. Varig was the first Brazillian airline founded in 1927. They started an airmail service in 1928 and issued these excellent stamps with their logo in 1931 (earlier stamps were overprints of condor airmail issues). The depiction of Ikarus on their logo and stamps is quite fitting, as the airline saw numerous major accidents resulting in fatalities. |

The First International Philatelic Exhibition in Quito, Ecuador, 1936. I find the font on these stamps especially pleasing. |

I didn't share my examples of those Swiss Ikarus stamps because I didn't think they fit the art deco label. |
