Going through a painful process of sorting my Brazil stamps and came across a couple oddballs.
First could be a case of catalog blindness and the second one a case of visual effect, but I figured they could be worth mentioning. Wmk numbers based on Scott
Case one - Mercury 300 reis red.
The two bottom left stamps are wkmk 249 (Estados Unidos Do Brazil 6 mm high), the bottom right is stamp wmk 219 (E U Brazil 8 mm high) and the top three stamps are what looks like wmk 264 (Correio Brazil 7 mm high staggered). However, I cannot find a 300 reis red in my Scott that has wmk 264 or any other watermark that is staggered. Any ideas?

Case two - Mercury 400 reis Ultra.
The left stamp is wmk 256 (cas+da+moeda+do+brasil 8 mm high). The right stamp is wmk 264 (correio*brasil 7 mm high). The middle stamp appears to be 8 mm high but has correios in it. Too bad I don't see the star or the cross to say for sure. Most likely it is wmk 264 that just appears visually larger.
