Quote: When was the 1d revenue tax raised to 2d? NSK- It's not revenue use- it's just writing, which is upside down. |

I don't personally know a lot about these stamps, though I have most of them myself. I can tell you, the last image features stamps marked "N.D. HRVATSKA", which means Independent State of Croatia. These are actually not real stamps and were issued by members of the Croatian Nazi party, called Ustase, as a means of protesting against the communist governement. They are quite common and not valuable, but a very fascinating piece of history.
Edit: I was in the process of writing this before you sent the second set of images, so I am refering to the prior set of images in my first message. Sidenote: I adore those art deco Free France colonies stamps and would love if you could post them in my art deco thread. |

Welcome Pieman! At first glance there may not be great monetary value there, but a lot of these would definitely be a decent start to a collection of your own. If your dad's stamps are staying in the family that's great! Regards DavidR |

If you want to make it your hobby, you can have fun looking for varieties. Some Irish stamps you posted come with two watermarks. Some British staps of Queen Elizabeth II with several watermarks and several phosphor bars. Among the Spanish stamps of General Franco are perforation varieties (often the value tablet changes slightly as well) and imprint varieties, although yours appear to be the 1949 ones. The same goes for the smaller Spanish stamp showing the knight (El Cid) on his horse.
The stamps appear to be the mass-produced ones, but you will never know unless you check. Unchecked, the stamps have almost no monetary value. |

So no monetary value here. It's a fun hobby. How are you going to proceed? Thoughts? Questions? |

This collection falls in the 99% of collections in terms of value. I would say join the stamp club and enjoy collecting and the hobby. |
