I recently acquired UK stamps with lighthouses but packaged and sold by the USPS. Are these considered desirable by UK stamp collectors? Example:

Interesting but no, they are not. There is nothing special about those stamps. Having been packed in some shrink-wrapping by by USPS does not change that.
I cannot say I have ever seen them advertised. Usually, Rushstamps would advertise such items if they stock them. |

They're still valid for postage, being what Royal Mail describes as "Special Stamps with pictures on". So I suppose there is something special about these stamps. |

It is/was part of their "International Collection" listed in their USA Philatelic magazine/catalog. The Program only ran for a few years until being discontinued due to losing money. |

The stamps are valid for postage, and are therefore worth £2.52 in the UK. The "foreign" packaging might add something to the value, but probably very little.

Unfortunately, you cannot use them for postage and have the packaging add value.
How much would it even cost to ship such an item to the UK, so it can be used for postage? |

Notre that USPS says not to keep the stamps in the packaging, it isn't archival. |

Maybe collectors of USPS items would be interested. I don't imagine these are very common. USPS discontinued selling "international" stamps after just a few years. |

You know something is amiss when the response to your SOS is 'EXTER-MI-NATE!' |
