Back issues of Forerunners, the journal of the Philatelic Society for Greater Southern Africa (PSGSA), from issue #1 until about two years prior to the current issue, are available as a free download for members and non-members alike www.psgsa.org/journal/forerunners

What makes this even more helpful is the recent addition of a comprehensive, easily searchable index of authors and topics, which may also be downloaded from the webpage linked above.

The site also includes a number of free publications including the newly released Fourth (2025) edition of David Mordant's "The Barred Oval Numeral Cancellers of the Cape of Good Hope from 1863 – 1963"

The PSGSA focuses on philatelic areas related to past and present Southern Africa stamp-issuing entities.

Clivel,

Thank you for posting about this area of collecting, and informing us of the free publication downloads! This is not an area of my specialty, but I do have some stamps and covers from this area, and will greatly enjoy reading the information.
