I posted about the complete strips of 4 of the $500 Alexander Hamilton back in 2018:

https://goscf.com/t/60609

At that time I had 2 complete strips of 4, both Scott #RC20.

In the intervening 7 years I have found zero other examples... until 2 weeks ago.

The strip below showed up on ebay, not described as having a double transfer, so I laid in wait and sniped. It's punch canceled (beggars can't be choosers), but this one is Scott #R249, so it's a strip I didn't already have, although I have numerous examples of single stamps with double transfers.

Complete strips with DTs are FAR more scarce than catalogue values imply.

I maintain a census of the $500 Hamilton double transfers in all its forms (Scott #R249, R249a, R285, R285a, R285b, RC20, RC20a, RD23, RD23a, RD65, RD65a, RG22) which can be found here:

The double transfer on the $500 is really a perfect example of a twisted transfer. Amazingly (at least to me), it's the only value in the series that has a double transfer. For some reason the transfer roll twisted occasionally, but only in that bottom position. Since these were used with various overprints, the double transfer exists on them too.

I had to look at my strip to see if it was a double transfer. It isn't. I hadn't know about these before, so it is cool seeing one, especially on a strip.
