I just ordered my Trajan catalog yesterday and it is already enroute to me. I can't wait to get it. I already have my 2024 Unitrade but now I want to get the 2025 (two-book) edition catalog.

Bobcat126 - I believe that would be 2026 edition.

I'm guessing that Mr. Harris could not directly copy his previous work in the Unitrade catalogue in his new endeavor resulting in the different subcategory characters in the Trajan catalogue. This will make it confusing for buyers and sellers who do not own both catalogues unless the subcategory has a written description or scan of the philatelic item in question. My question to lithographing is an example.

This is actually one thing I would love to see added to the ebay item characteristics section for stamps is for a drop down of a catalogue and then writing in the catalogue number for each catalogue that you wish to cite. This would be a searchable characteristic and also come up if a buyer entered the catalogue number into the general search bar. This saves valuable characters out of the 80 allowed per title.

But instead, I get a bunch of irrelevant fields that constantly auto populate that I have to manually uncheck all the time.

Sounds nice to be able to hit a dropdown menu of numbers which could be cross referenced in catalogues with other numbers of other catalogues.
They wouid then probably have to make liscensing and copyright agreements with all different catalogues to use differing catalogues on their site, costing them fees. And a massive ongoing programmimg expense. And then that would end up pushing up the fee for sellers, again.

Fair point. Let's see the rough math now:

Initial cost of item as a percent of sale: 33%
ebay fees: 12%
New licensing fee increase: 7%
Tariff due to it going to a US buyer: 55%

Net profit: -7% + negative feedback x 1 due to ++++++++++++++ customs delay

Yay! (/s)

But sadly you're right..: probably some licensing fee although it would sure be helpful!

That is some math, funny but probably not too far off the mark. We have been dealing with a deminimus of $40.00 cdn for years . And if it comes through post office we still have to pay hst of 14% on all purchases over $20. Cdn. Plus a fee of $9.95 for the post office to collect the money for customs or provincial taxes. And add to the fact the currency exchange which is now about 35%.
So it has always been rather expensive for us Canadians for years.

My Trajan catalog arrived in my mailbox last night. It didn't take as long as I thought to get to me.

I am so very happy to have this catalog, it looks easy to use and the color detail and close ups are very visually appealing - No1philatelist yes it is the 1st edition 2026, I love it!

Warm Regards,

Bradley

I know we're comparing the differences in the catalogues but this feather in the cap seems like a very minor error that I believe Wert would be impressed with.
First thing I noticed was the extra design elements inside the circled area unless it's part of the cancel.
Unfortunately I don't personally have this stamp to compare.
Oh ya! The Trajan cat. Is great but I wouldn't buy it again unless they came out with an edition with spiral binding.

Good eye Hounddog Bill.

I rescanned the stamps and what was there on the origional scan is no longer
visible.
Something got on the Hagner or on the glass when I scanned them before.

Here is a new scan of Canada 1216b position 20
