*** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***I went on the USPS site to see what's new & upcoming. The next booklet to be issued (it denotes booklet) appears to be a new design format for a booklet. It appears close to the convertible booklet format, but is different. (Almost like an ATM booklet sheet but with a void in the center). Anybody else notice this 'different ' format, or am I misreading the item format description? Anyone have a clue as to USPS trying new issue formats?

Eligies,
Which USPS issue were you viewing? A link would be even more helpful. As far as I know, the next booklets are the holiday issues with traditional formats. |

philatomiic: The Holiday Cheer issue. (USPS Item #685604). The illustration on the site (USPS.com/store/stamps) depicts a different booklet format then previous booklet issues. Thought maybe something new. Maybe I am just reading the illustration incorrectly. |

The Winter Landscapes booklet seems to have the same format as the Holiday Cheer booklet ... neither of which is like previous booklets. Unless we are both misinterpreting what we see on the USPS web site. |

I think it's just a different, and unusual, way to show both sides of the booklets. I doubt they will be issued as illustrated. I have no idea why they left that white area between the pictures of both sides rather than the marbled background as around the perimeter. Take a look at the Baby Wild Animals booklet for a less ambiguous illustration of a two sided booklet. |

I think what's throwing us off is the illustration includes a background which makes it appear that the issue is one sided & not a front/back depiction of the issues. I guess the final answer will be when I order the booklets. Going back several booklet issues, these 2-new issues are represented as I initially stated almost as a convertible or ATM type of format. (Personally I think it works for the single or multiple design(4) issues as I can still get a block of 4 with booklet cover, & better for the 5+ design booklets as it can be displayed entirely) {another look: The border line of the panels delineates the front/back sides with no line top or bottom which might just confirm philatomic's take, just a different illustration format not issue format. If the border line continued across the top/bottom, instead of down the inside I think it would be a change in production format.} |

The FALL USA Philatelic arrived today. It confirms that the Winter Landscapes booklet uses the normal double-sided format of old. I would assume that the same will be true of the Holiday Cheer booklet. |
