Hey guys! I'm unearthing an old topic, sorry!

I wanted to send my page to VGG to have it expertise. On the form, I've got to enter the value of the stamps to know what fee I have to pay. None of my old Unitrade catalogue had prices for a page of 25 (or even a single stamp). Is it still that way or as a price finally been added?

Thank you in advance!

Minesweeper, 2019 Unitrade lists them at $100. Usually they will use the single stamp cat. Value and multiply by 25 and base it on that. I had a single done years ago, but with them available at auction for less than $75.00 it is hardly worth it as there are so many available.

Wow, I just looked back at the rest of this thread and you should have sent them in when there was no price stated. It would have been much cheaper.

I have a couple of the QEII 2018 65th corronation anniversary Gumless booklets. They are only listed at $50. in the 2019 Unitrade even though two sold at F.V.H.Stamp auctions for $385 and $300. last year. I asked Robin about that and he said dealers thought there were lots out there, but time, lack of any for sale and bidding prices is proving otherwise and based on that, prices will probably be corrected in the next catalogue. I guess I better get them sent in for certs. while the cat. value is low, even though they were purchased by myself at P.O.

Ahahah...yeah...pretty sure that it wouldn't of been free. Maybe I can only send one in. If it's genuine, the rest should be.

Actually, G.Portch stated the cost would have been $40.00 + postage of course. Of course when I stated no price I did mean catalogue value or should I say, lack of. Thereby determining the cost of certification at $40. As anything from 0 to 400 = $40.00

The year of pig, 2201i. Actually, one just sold on Feb 9th, 2019 in an F.V.H auction as lot 143 for $37.00. After 25% fee and $1.00 lotting fee the owner received a mere $26.75. Now multiply that by 25 = 668.75 The price keeps coming down as there are so many in the market place. Is it really worthwhile to get a cert at those kind of prices?

I guess it would be interesting to confirm that the are genuine. Bought them a real long time ago, and for a few years, all that was in the catalogue was "Beware of fakes". I guess it's a price I'm willing to pay to make sure this wasn't the worse buy of my stamp collecting carrer. I guess it already is...but it could be even worse.

Well, his prices do go up and down, just like the markets and the demand. I have a complete plated sheet of 50 of the 52c Christmas issue that never was. At a basic catalogue value of $200. each, I won't be applying for certificate anytime soon. How do you think I feel? .

Have an inscription block of 4 already. 50 for 25, no thanks. At least the christmas ones are holding their own at $50 to $60 or a little more for now? If many more show up it will hurt a bit.

I am a bit confused at the description here. I can see the "gold" present, and I also have one with gold missing, but what is the "rainbow" people are referring to? Can someone point it out to me on a scan?

It's kind of hard to take a picture...it's a little bit like an hologram type of thing...but very faint. That part is also missing from most of the stamps. I don't think that's much help.

Gilles, hold the regular stamp and angle it towards you or away and you will see the foiling. Looks somewhat like mother of pearl from shells. You will see the rainbow of color.
