I'm new to this forum and thanks again to all who chimed in on my first post

For those who have not seen it, look a page 7

1923 Franklin 1 cent Green

It's not a 9.75 x 9.5 perf

Remeasured: it's a 10.0 x 9.54

My second post uncertainty needs expert input to address this:

What is the difference between Scott terminology for this issue?

Mine pictured lists it as a "Double Transfer"

I just found one online that lists one as a "Double Impression"

Are they the same or distinct classifications?

o 1879, 3¢ green, double impression (184b), dramatic complete doubling of the top portion of design. Bullseye cancel fortuitously placed to leave the variety completely visible. Closed tear and a small corner crease. Fine appearance. Scott price $5,000 ONE OF ONLY 3 EXAMPLES OF THE 3¢ AMERICAN DOUBLE IMPRESSION CERTIFIED BY THE PHILATELIC FOUNDATION, PLUS THERE IS ONE NON-CERTIFIED EXAMPLE. Expertization: 2007 P.F. Certificate. The non certified copy was sold in a 1988 Robert A. Siegel rarity sale.

Matthew Bennett International, Feb 2015, Sale 351, Lot 133

In a double tramsfer, (part of) the die was transferred double onto the plate with which the stamp was printed. A double impression is when the stamp was printed twice.

You are very knowledgeable, and I thank you again for your input.

Any idea if that is common for this issue or should it be in Scott described as a double transfer, separate from the ones they list as a double impression?

Do you think mine could be a rarer version?

They are two different things; a double impression is a printing error but a double transfer is a mistake in the creation of the plate. Usually because the transfer roll slipped or twisted while rocking in the plate position. So a double transfer will occur every time that plate was used in that specific position. A double impression would only be for that one sheet.
