Beneficial Insects 3 Cent Reprint

I went to the postal office today and I bought a 5c and a 10c pane. The 5c was with the narrow black frame but the 10c wasn't.

As for the colour change on the 5c, there seem's to be none (compared to the 3c reprint).

Barcode for the new 5c pane is 0 63491 03794 8 and for the old 10c is 0 63491 03796 2. The barcode for the 3c reprint was the same as the old one. Since I don't have the old 5c or the new 10c, I can't compare, but I guess it's gonna be the same. But who knows...!

It's fun to discover new stamps, but in a way it bugs me that Canada Post does not tell anyone of these changes. It took almost 9 months (minimum) for anyone here to "discover" the narrow black frame on the 5c and the 10c. And who knows how much more it would of taken if they haden't advertised the 3c reprint!

I snagged a full sheet of the 10c reprint at the post office today, but the 5c was the original (in Langley, BC), the opposite to what the Minesweeeper got.

I'm pretty much at the opposite of the country also...Montréal. Gonna try to get an original 5c and a new 10c tomorrow.

Anyone for a trade. I'm looking for a reprint page of 10c stamps (narrow black frame) and an old page of 5c stamps. I've got a page of the 1st print of the 10c stamp and a page of the reprint of the 5c. Obviously I'm talking about the beneficial insects page of 50 stamps.

The new Unitrade catalogue says that there was a reprint of the 3c pane that corrects the 2235a error, but does not mention the colour change or the thicker or narrower black frame. It also does not mention the 5c or 10c reprint.

I guess the cut-off date was too late...

Unitrade 2012 does not list the 5 cents and the 10 cents reprint at all.

I went to my local Shopper's Drug Mart post office a couple of weeks ago to get some sheets of the 3c, 5c and 10c insects, but they were all out of stock. More were on order.

I picked up all three yesterday, and was surprised to see that all were from the original printing!

The 3c has the shifted Canada on the second row and the thin thick black border, while both the 5c and 10c have the thin thick black border.

I wonder if these are new printings or old stock still in the regional distribution centre.

I erred above, I meant I got 5c reprints, but not the 10c, the same as minesweeper.

I am still looking for the 10c reprint with the thin black horizontal stripes.

don't have a reprint of the 10c but it appears that the barcode is constant, the same for original and the reprint
