Hi, everyone. I'm looking for stamps that feature sand. There are plenty of travel-brochure type images of beach scenes, but I'm looking for a focus on sand itself, like other stamps that focus on fossils or gemstones.

So sand castles or sand sculptures would work, and desert dunes or White Sands National Park would qualify... but not just any random island or river image "because rivers have sand."

A good example would be Fiji's 2017 series on "Sigatoka Sand Dunes." https://www.stampworld.com/stamps/F...amps/g1490//

Another would be Bermuda's 2021 "Sand Castles" series. https://www.stampworld.com/stamps/B...amps/g1197//

No sand cats, sorry! (Even though they're adorable.)

Any suggestions?

Hi Brian,

Very unusual and original subject. I looked at my collection and found few which have connection to sand.

This stamp issued by Israel in 2016 for the memorial day of fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism. The subject is "The Sand Remembers" and it taken from a song by the Israeli poet Nathan Yonatan. The first paragraph is written on the tab.

"The sand remembers the waves,
but the foam has no remembrance,
except for those who passed with the night wind,
from whose memory it shall never be erased."

Ramla is a city in Israel, the only city built by the Arabs during their rule over Eretz Israel (Palestine). The Arabic meaning of Ramla is Sand (Riml), since it was built on sand dunes. Israel, 1970.
