I am trying to figure out what to do with the faulty stamps I have. I have probably 300+ faulty used US stamps. I can't seem to throw these away either, but they just keep accumulating.

I know I'll get crucified for saying this, but if they are common stamps, throw them in the garbage or use them for a collage or other craft project. Just don't put them in someone's collection.

I'm with you abohart. If thy are common I say put them out of their misery! IMHO, of course.

When I come across a stamp that is beyond hope and common I toss it to my wife if she can use it. She scrapbooks alot so they come in handy for her sometimes. If its not so common I keep it. I cant stand to trash a stamp. I have done it in anger while soaking some more recent US lol.

I like some of the older stamps that I have and they are in pretty rough shape. They have their own nice spot in my album.

I only keep it if I don't have a copy of it. Other wise if it is in really bad shape I destroy it and throw in trash..

I keep them all in a glassine labled clearly as "FAULTY". They are common. I will look for an opportunity to give them to a crafter.

Collecting postage dues means many many fauly stamps. I have a stockbook that my 7 y/o refers to as the 'bad stamp book'. I've been putting together collections out of it and getting 5% catalogue on ebay with comprehensive descriptions and positive feedback from the buyers.

I vote sell or trade them (send them to ME... :) espically to those of us just getting started in this hobby, I have mostly blanks spaces and collect used, floated stamps.. so commons are still welcome at my house.

(unless your talking about the 3 ring binders, they are getting old and dusty make me sneeze, I'm trying to replace those!)

One man's trash is another man's treasure - or woman's, for that matter.
I never throw anything out, if I can't find a good home for it I'll keep it til I do. Stamps, or anything! My husband's the same. We have three houses and 6 sheds between us..... All full....
Anyone have use for some damaged stamps, old rope, broken lawnmowers, wobbly chairs, a set of beer pumps, four car wheels,....
