I'm a 29-year-old collector from Germany and have been collecting since I was six years old. I always find my way back to this most beautiful hobby.
My collection covers all non-European regions. My sister collects Europe. We decided to divide our area of interest when we were kids to prevent conflicts
. I enjoy everything from classic stamps with distinctive local postmarks like the Victoria barred numerals to mass-produced issues created mainly for the philatelic trade such as Manama, and even modern releases from 2025. I loove everything! Mostly I always try to educate myself about the history and informations of the regions, the persons, animals and location etc. depicted and especially the historical contexts that were left out of the official narrative of the state.
I came across this forum while looking for information on some rather niche collecting areas, and I've already found plenty of helpful discussions and answers here. I'm looking forward to learning more and maybe contributing a bit myself!
