Chinese Year of the Monkey, 2016, Guyana. These stamps reproduce scenes in the style of traditional Chinese ink painting (guohua), depicting monkeys in expressive natural poses. No specific artist is credited, and the designs represent a classical Chinese painting tradition rather than identifiable works.

The stamps were issued in different colors and values.

To celebrate the 2016 Year of the Monkey, the United Nations issued a souvenir sheet of 10 postage stamps, each paired with an attached tab bearing the Chinese zodiac symbol for the Monkey. The design combines the UN emblem with a stylized golden monkey on a red background, a color traditionally associated with good fortune and celebration in the Lunar New Year.

I already posted the stamps and SS issued by the Republic of China (Taiwan) to celebrate the 2016 Year of the Monkey, but they are again on two different official FDC's.

For the Year of the Monkey 2016, Malaysia issued a very attractive set and SS's show local monkeys. Unfortunately, it is impossible to scan the stamps because the scans come out in black and white rather than their attractive colors. Therefore, I took pictures of the items with my mobile phone, but the resolution isn't very good.

The SS on official FDC.

The other side of the FDC also depicting local monkeys.

I scanned the Malaysian post brochure so you can see the stamps in their real color and to add information.
