ScottMounts are manufactured by Prinz mounts. They are exactly the same. |

Quote: How can a company survive without having any product to sell for this long? You do know that it is not their fault. An ebay search just now produced over 1100 "Scott Mount" listings. If lack of mounts bothers you, switch to stock sheets for storage until the mounts become available from Scott, buy from the aftermarket or find a new hobby. Edit: Oops, forgot screenshot-- |

I have found since the pandemic, that stamp supplies can sometimes be hard to find. They go out of stock quickly. For example, in some stores Scott binders go pretty quickly. Even good stamp tongs can be tough to find. So it does not surprise me to see mounts in short supply in some areas or sizes. |

Scott problems are likely over and above the tariff issues. I noticed many mounts are on backorder with an expected stock date of 12/10/25. |

To quote Prinz Verlag "Polystyrol stamp mounts have been proven to be the safest material to store your valuable stamps and documents." Polystyrol is polystyrene; according to BASF "Polystyrol - the crystal clear polymer [aka] General Purpose PolyStyrene". It's used to make the clear plastic containers for the supermarket food aisle, if you're in need of a source of mounts. |

The root of these supply issues lies in the historic levels of inflation achieved during the reign of 46. It made procurement a challenge and put the squeeze on companies that could not engage in shrinkflation. Easier to shrink a bag of chips than a stamp mount. That inflation is still hurting the markets. Once prices go up it is a herculean task to bring them down if you even can. 47 has done a remarkable job under the circumstances although IMO we could do without many of the tariffs. |

yeah it's pretty bad. I don't know who is running Amos but so many items are out of stock. Is used or never. Amos leaves so much money on the table they don't even know it. |

German version of Lighthouse, the home company does not ship to Ireland due to taxes per their customer service personnel. Please note I wrote taxes OR tariffs.
In fact they specifically recommend a company located out side of Germany for the shipments of their products to Ireland. |

Quote: No product to sell and it has been this way most of the year. https://www.amosadvantage.com/Store...gory/Stamps. You point? If you are not flexible to use other sources of the product made by the only maker, Prinz, and that is not Scott nor Amos, then switch to other storage methods or quit the hobby. Whining does not produce mounts. If Scott/Amos is dead, it will die shortly. It is cheaper and easier to print your own pages according to many collectors. |
