I have all the mystic hingeless albums. from 1847-current

I am missing all but 59 stamps total.

Since Book 2-10 are completed and all mint. I was debating on selling 2-10 and focus on more of the older stamps that I am missing.

I also have been focusing more lately on Revenues, US possessions, Ryuki Islands, along with a few others

Wanted to see everyone's thoughts.

My thought is that you should collect what interests you the most, and let others enjoy what you no longer want. You might be lucky to recover your costs in books 2-10, but even if you don't, what does it really matter? If no one in your sphere of influence (your siblings, sons/daughters, grandkids) wants to continue in your path, then just let them go to the highest bidder and move on.

My thought as well. I tried to get my kids involved but they do not seem to take interest in the collection unfortunately

Agree - if you've had the fun, but are no longer as interested, just move them on. I've done the same with chunks of my collection - for a combination of losing interest and lack of space - and haven't regretted it.

"Wanted to see everyone's thoughts " I am totally confused what your trying to do and what you got .

Let's start out with , what are you looking to do and I can then understand what you got ..----are you looking for a cash offer or are you will to go 6 months before you get paid ?

Not everybody knows what a Mystic hingeless album set is ? Is it a U.S. stamp collection over 6 albums . Does it include slipcases ? Is it complete for the binders and are all the pages complete ?

Nobody can say anything with out knowing your price range are we at $1,000 or $30,000.

Is this collection mint never hinged or lightly hinged or mint hinged , or used .

Many more questions to be asked like : are there Cert's ,is the collection viewable at your house , where are you located, you want a reference for a dealer or a auction house ,

That is a large amount of face value. Have you totaled it? Also, almost two grand in the 10 albums but those will fetch pennies on the dollar if sold with the stamps. Best to pull the face to sell separately. Lot the albums by themselves as single volumes IMO.

I think the question was a general one, not a request for value. To me, the answer is "do what makes you happy".

US collections are a dime a dozen as far as rarity is concerned. Books 2-10. If complete and mint like you posted will still sell well.

If you need the money to add to the older stuff sure. You might miss the new stuff though.

As a non-US collector, I had a look on the Mystic website. If I understand it correctly, you are considering selling your 1967 - present (almost) complete collection and focus on areas that you, recently, have been actively pursuing.

In the end, what any other person thinks is irrelevant. It is what you feel comfortable with. If you have doubts, maybe this is not (yet) the time to do something that is almost impossible to reverse.

Hello123 - Kelleher's is having auction 828 on December 17 that you might be interested in. Lot # 3165 is a US collection of mint stamps from 1923-2024 in Mystic albums. It sounds similar to what you are contemplating selling and could give you an idea of what your albums might be worth.
