Odd Los Angles Pair Looks To Be 2 Different Cancels For The Same Device

Ok this one is weird, at least for me, These two stamps are a dated connected pair.

The top stamp looks to be an L-12 TS but the bottom looks to be a PSS 61 but also might be an L-4 TS.

They look to be the far right side of the pane because the lines end at the right.

Can a cancel group contain different types of cancels?

This is explained confusedly with footnote-24 in the PSS types catalog.

I only have the 1990 Town & Type Catalog. If there has been any updates since then I have no knowledge of any other footnotes after 11. If I plan to go any further in this genre I may need to get a more updated version. If I need to order one would that be through the PSS website?
