A friend called to say they had inherited a stamp book and was not interested, if I were I could have it. Excited enough to get the call and then I find this page. Here goes researching the Confederates!
Look at the backs of the confederate stamps. There is a high chance you will see "facsimile," "falsch" or some other indicator that they are not genuine stamps. Your image is not super clear, but it is clear enough to tell that at least most, but maybe all of the CSA stamps aren't real. They may still be "collectible" and worth a couple bucks.
Unfortunately, every single stamp was marked facsimile on the back…bummer to say the least! As the saying goes, if it looks too good to be….thank you all for your input.
