Oh, I can tell you are going to fall in love with French stamps. Lots of paintings on stamps, very similar to that one.

Nice work!

The Apocalypse Tapestry stamp, France #1116, cries out for this treatment. Here is a scan, but I had to reduce it far more than usual to meet the forum requirements.

hahah, I think your Japanese stamps are really nice, and these are too.
I guess people are just captivated by very different images.

Ah... the French.

Quite by accident I found this wonderful French stamp on an airmail envelope. Yes, one could possibly fall in love ... or at least like... with these.
