Two stamps, SG 49 and SG 49a, each with a numeral cancel in a single-line rectangular box inside a barred oval. One numeral cancel is 528; the other is 546.
Does anyone know the towns to which those numerals refer?
When websites and online resources started disappearing here and there, I learned my lesson and started saving everything, whether as text files, images, screenshots or pdf files. I didn't always do a great job of including the original source. I can take a look and see if I can find it. It is, or was, online.
