Jorge, those are two great items you have there, thanks for showing them.

On the card is written 1 washed up modeled photo drawing 1

What would that be referring to?

Lithograving, that refers to other pieces related to this stamp that also are part of the file, such as photographs, hand-painted drawings, etc.

OK Jorge I get that but I still would like to know what is meant by

washed up.

Did it mean that the die was cleaned and ink was washed off ?

Just curious.

Lithograving, maybe it is "wash drawing: a painting or drawing in which thin layers or washes of watercolor or India ink are used" (from usstamps.org glossary).
Something like this:

Stamp Day tribute to Belgian artist Jean Van Noten (1903-1982)

Engraved by Paul Huybrechts..quite a most prolific engraver. Here he describes his works in an article in Art Review.."As a master engraver, I am the author of the engraving work for 50 stamps for the Belgian Government and 8 different coins in about 20 different executions. From the commemorative coin of 500 BF over the first official ECU (European Currency Unit) (5 and 50 ECU) to the 100 EURO-coin to commemorate the extension of Europe to 25 members.
As a medalist, I executed about 1000 medals for all kind of occasions. But I prefer free editions to commemorate the world's milestones. Besides that I am very involved in the world of watches. I edited pocket watches with the portraits of the royal family of Belgium and different theme's like the Mozart year, the 500th anniversary of the connection between America and Europe, or the 100th anniversary of Rotary.
I am the engraver of many dials for luxury watches for Vacheron-Constantin in Geneva, e.g. the Mercatorwatches, the Audubon watches, the Great Discoveries watches, and much more, including a watch for the king of Thailand and a watch for the sultan of Oman. All of them are diffused worldwide.
I am also the engraver of the saxophone of Bill Clinton!"

Whew!

Scott 1448

Apropos Jean van Noten and the tribute stamp I posted earlier..here's a series he did in 1958 illustrating various pavilions for Expo 58. It was the 11th World's Fair hosted by Belgium, and the fifth in Brussels, following the fairs in 1888, 1897, 1910 and 1935. After Expo 58, Belgium has so far not arranged any more world fairs.

The United States Post Office Department issued this stamp to commemorate the first free election for governor of the US territory of Puerto Rico. Prior to January 2, 1949, the US president appointed Puerto Rico's governors. The stamp was first placed on sale on April 27, 1949, at San Juan, Puerto Rico.

C.R. Chickering of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing designed the stamp, inspired by a pencil sketch prepared by Irene Delano of the Office of the Governor of Puerto Rico. G.A. Gunderson engraved the vignette, and J.S. Edmondson engraved the frame lettering and numerals.

Nethryk- Maybe you can enlighten me..there are a lot of engraved USA postage stamps that I would like to post but once scanned
and enlarged to show more detail...they look good from far..but far from good. The detail just doesn't show up as well as the issues from France, Sweden and other countries. Here's an example.

Jorge, you have some great stuff there from the ABNC.
I enjoy looking at them even though I have to admit I'm kind
of jealous.

Interesting that

they used 3 engravers. But why?

Similar to the BEP who for many
years used two engravers per stamp, one for the vignette and
another for the frame and/or lettering
