This watermark is not found in my Scott's catalog. Anyone know what it is? The stamp is 12 1/2 perf. Thanks for your help!

guessing it picked up the lettering that exists on the edge of the sheet .. if you flip it 180 degrees, so that the CC is on top, then perhaps what you see are parts of the letters .. one of which is definitely an S

As @NicholasC points out.

Those are the "S" an "T" of POSTAGE that appears in the sheet margin. It also shows "CC" of the watermark that should appear in the stamp paper.

It was shown inverted in your first image. It looks like you just "flipped" the image before posting it in your second post.

Does this make it more / less valuable / collectable?
Is this commonly found on British CC stamps?

If there is value in it, it would require the full letters of the marginal watermark, not the partial letters. Otherwise, it does not add much value. Still, it is a nice variety to have.
