I am looking for any additional information on Bohemia and Moravia Scott 1A, Michel 1A that is not listed in Scott.

The uniqueness is that the country name has a hyphen unlike other Czech issues. It was issued but followed immediately by the overprinted stamps while under German control.

These stamps were prepared for the Second Czechoslovak Republic. This entity was formed after Sudetenland was detached, and lasted from September 30, 1938 to March 15, 1939.

The hyphen was used as part of a renegotiation of relations between the Czechs, Slovaks, and Ruthenians. See also the stamp cataloged in Scott as Carpatho-Ukraine, and BM C1.

The stamps were printed before the German invasion, and were used in Bohemia and Moravia until they got their own stamps.

See note in Scott Czechoslovakia, following #254B. At one time, this stamp was listed as Czech #256.

Some additional information:
Issued 13 April 1939. Listed in Michel as A1 (therefore issued before the overprint series Michel 1-19). Valid until 15 Dec 1939.
