The measurement of these perforations are 10-81 as measured on a Precision US Speicalty Muli Gauge. Web searches come up with indications of stamps printed with these perferations but I have not been able to glean any other information such as are they cataloged by Scott? They appear to be coil stampes but the perforations are only on 1 side of the stamp. Help please!

These are the P.10 vertical coils of 1923-29, Scott 598 (1.5c) and 601 (4c). Sometimes they are from a vending machine, and the "machine cut" misses the perforations, making the stamps appear to be imperforate on one side. This is not generally considered a freak or oddity, just a poor cut!

Why does the Precision US Specialty Gauge have a section referred to as the Specialty Gauge for Bureau Issues that breaks down 10, 11, and 12 perms into finer divisions? These two stamps fit the 10-81 division on the gauge not the 10 perf. There must be some importance to having this section included on the on the gauge.

The first number in "10-81" is the perf 10 that Scott uses in the listing for the stamp(s). The Scott number is the "coarser" number and the Kiusalas gauge takes it to a much finer level.
