Found a number of really tiny envelopes and postcards from a "penpal" from France in the early 1920's. Envelopes have cards with a "happy new year," "merry christmas" etc cards inside.
Stamps & cancels interesting but know nothing about them.
The last cover has a cancel saying "Ask to open a checking account". In France you can open a postal checking accountthat is quite like a bank checking account. That is today. In 1931 I not sure but it seem like it. A penpal back in the 20? I feel youg suddenly. Daniel
Oh, not my penpal... thanks. My mother's eldest sibling / sister was in french club in high school, and these probably originated from that friendship; but, the postmark is 1921.
