Here is an image of an engraved stamp depicting a map of the area, known as Lake Nasser, which was flooded by the construction of the Aswan High Dam on the Nile River in Egypt; Pha That Luang, a large Buddhist stupa in the center of Vientiane, Laos; and an Egyptian monumental statue threatened by the rising waters. This stamp was issued by Laos on March 8, 1964 to publicize the UNESCO campaign to safeguard the ancient Nubian monuments, Scott No 89, SG No. 136.
