Here is one that I think is interesting. It is part of a Russian set commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Battle of Perekop, fought between the Red and White armies during the Russian Civil War. It appears to show troop movements.  |

I enjoy viewing ALL the stamps in this thread shown by SCF members!
It is definitely difficult for me to pick a favorite, but I go with primos' Venice.
If I had a block of em, I'd frame them & hang them on the wall along with my other favorites!

Caprivi Strip

The Caprivi Strip is a narrow corridor of Namibia between Angola, Zambia and Botswana. A German statesmen and soilder Leo von Caprivi negotiated in 1890 an boundary treaty with Great Britain which provided a corridor from the German South West Africa (now Namibia) to Zambezi River. |

Map of Mars

Giovanni Virginio Schiaparelli (1835-1910) was an Italian astronomer and science historian. He`s contributions are his telescopic observations of Mars. He created a map of Mars with the "seas", "continents" and "canals" of Mars.
