João Batista Mascarenhas de Moraes (1883-1968) was the commander of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force in World War II during the Italian Campaign, 1944-1945. This stamp shows the terrritory of Colombia by 1917, after the loss of Panama in 1903 and previous to the limits treaties with Brazil, Peru and Ecuador that reshaped the borders in the Amazon border after the Colombia Peru conflict of 1936 and the Ecuador Peru war of 1941.
