The original stamps, designed by Jens Rosing, were issued in 1957: Greenland Legends SG 39-42
The Boy and the Fox, Mother of the Sea, The Girl and the Eagle, Great Northern Diver and Raven.

The sheet: Special folder with philatelic sheet for Jens Rosing. Sheet engraved by Slania. Issued by the Greenland post office in July 1995 and sold for 78Kr.

Nice one 22c.

The Boy and the Fox
A swedish tale

Once upon a time, a boy walking in the forest saw a sleping fox.
Slowly, the boy picked up a heavy stone and went near the fox. He told himself that he would kill the fox, sell its skin and make some money. With that money he would buy some rye and plant it in his father's fields. When people going to church passed the field, they would exclaim what wonderful rye it was. Then he would shout to them to keep away from his rye, and if they did not heed him, he would shout louder, and then they would listen to him.

But when he came to that point in his thoughts, he really shouted out loudly. The sleeping fox woke up on hearing this and ran away into the forest. The boy was left holding the stone in his hand.
