Hi BeeSee. I once had a margin-damaged press sheet so I cut it up into blocks and strips and put it on ebay. Not one bite. Used it as postage. Could not understand why people would not opt for a way of displaying stamp from a press sheet.

Strange as it may seem, but I did not realize that the press sheet was actually good for postage. I thought it was a separate thing entirely. Some advertising type of thing maybe.

I have not seen one in person so maybe that would have helped the misunderstanding.

It just looked like a big poster in the magazines and online.

I mean, how do you get that thing in an album anyway?

Moonbird, that is interesting. I thought the real interest in press sheets would be the gutter items that could be extracted. I don't collect them myself (except for definitives) but thought they would be an affordable alternative.

It is rolled in a mailing tube Edwin. If it was shipped flat, it would be larger than 8 countries that are United nations members.

BeeSee -The press sheets are very attractive but I don't get "collecting" them. If you want them displayed they really need to be framed. What I do see is their appearance requently at auction.....so I'm guessing a lot are bought. And then a lot are disposed of.
