In an earlier poll we had a unanimous vote into organizing the Italian & German States to proceed the country in Scott's Catalogue as they currently do.

With the followup to that was should Heligoland and Lombardy & Venetia also be included with those respective state groups and again
all those whom voted agreed they should.

So now let's look at other possibilities such as Australia and it's forerunner states, colonies & territories.

Should Scott's Catalogue reorganized the Australian states in front of Australia itself as they currently do with German States & Italian States?

Unless Scott has changed their listings in newer catalogues, the Australian states are listed in front of Australia; at least they were in the 2001 edition.

Maybe places like Christmas Island could be moved, but that's about the only change I could see.

I have the Scott 2007 catalogue with the Australian prefix and it has the Australian State stamps first,I believe it's because the state stamps started in 1850 to 1913,with Federation of the states in 1901 an Australian stamp went into circulation in 1913 (roo stamp)this is why I think Scott catalogue will always start with the Aussie states first so that's the way I think they should be collected but that is just my opinion.

regards Harry
