I found this recently and am trying to determine if it actually is 2479b,but while looking at it under magnification and comparing to a normal copy I noticed that the background on the unusual example has the appearance of being speckled or unprinted or lack of color. it is best noted above the rump of the fawn. I was also looking for shifting of other colors. so far I don't see any shifting, only blurring. Any comments will be appreciated,Especially critiques, I always find them very helpful. Thanks, Dean

Hi Dean, my first impression would classify this under "light or chemical damage" I suspect light, but a light bleach in the soak water may be the culprit. Hard to say accurately with a scan.

stampaddict......

Seems like sun bleaching to me.........also, blurring is color shifting.....noticeable on the fawns rump and nose, generally refered to as color mis-registration.

I would not toss it out.......whatever it turns out to be.....at the moment, it's a curious freak.
