Hello!

First off let me say... Ugh! That's how I feel about the stamp collection (2 collections merged) I have inherited. Deep and wide and not sure where to start. I've done some basic sorting and safe keeping but that's about it. Books and books and bags and bags.

I've been working on the coin collection (hanging out on the Coin Forum) but it's about time to make a move on these stamps.

So here I am... making a move

Tim

Tim,
First off Welcome! Please tell us a bit about your inherited collection and ask any questions you may have. We love to see photos to help in ID'ing anything. Jump right in.

Just remember that this should be a fun pursuit. While I would encourage you to do as the 'dude' advises, I would only caution you to pace yourself and control your collection rather than letting it control you. It can sometimes can feel as though there are malevolent spirits inhabiting those bags and boxes.

Hi Tim,

Welcome to the group.

What part of MS are you in? I married a girl from Laurel. I've lived in MS on 3 different occasions, all in different parts of the state. We sure miss the Catfish up here in North Dakota!
