Here are some more pictures to help, the first being your stamp, the next two are stamps with bluish-green cancels, and the last is a #93 with a blue target cancel. compare, I still believe your stamp has a bluish-green cancel.

Looks green to me... ???
The 'blue-greens' look substantially more blue,
at least on my monitor.

I would suggest getting a PF certificate so there would be no question especially since it would add more to its value if it were green.

Would the seller's tweaking the scan to the green side of the spectrum (accidentally?) change the way it looks to us on screen? I think the original post has a hint of green in the white of the stamp also, so the cancel would, of course, be somewhat shaded green.

Nice stamps all!

Ya, I know, I know. Sorry. No one mentioned the scan could be tinted a titch.

Could be just the scanner is off but usually you can find 5 of the same stamp (any old one) on ebay displayed in 5 different scans from 5 different sellers that all seem a bit off from each other.

Perhaps sellers should have a normal cheap (even damaged) stamp dis[played also for colour comparison's sake. But that would perhaps alter the seller's chance of a sale.

As a budding philatelist I like the idea though. (Perhaps in another 20 years I can be called a flowering philatelist!)

andy1847, you disappoint me, you really do... I was all ready to drool over your stamps..
puzzler, yes, every scanner will be different unless they are calibrated for color, most stamp guys don't know how.. so, I always ask,, I would have bought it anyway regardless of the cancel, I was buying the stamp for the regular used price and got an extremely good deal.

Ahhh... sorry to disappoint you but I bet you would drool over my 1847 collection! I understand the scanner issue and computer screens, but you can still get a general idea. Nothing like looking at the actual stamp.

Still a nice stamp I would like to know what the final color determination would be if you got a cert.
