I have only been actively buying stamps for a few months. I am focused on the stamps from Yugoslavia and the republics that were part of Yugoslavia (Bosnia, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia), which follow my coin collecting interests.
I have found a treasure trove of items on delCampe, going through the categories for each of the above states. But recently, I have discovered a whole new level of listings that I hadn't previously known about. Instead of going through the actual category listings (Stamps -> Europe -> Yugoslavia), I have found that if I just go into the parent (Stamps ->) category, and do a search for Yugoslavia, there are literally hundreds of listings in other categories that I would never have thought to search (i.e. Stamps -> Topicals -> Europa/Cept, or Stamps -> Topicals -> Red Cross, etc). And then, to find even more items in all these "topical" sub-categories, I have begun to search using variations of the spelling, such as the French version "Yougoslavie" or the German version "Jugoslawien", along with other known spellings. There is so much more out there! Unfortunately, all this new territory for me to explore has had an unexpected side effect on me. It seems that I may have found myself almost more interested in the auxiliary postal products, such as FDCs, maximum cards, postal cards, etc. So, for each stamp, I want to get the stamp, the FDC, the maxi-card, and the mini-sheetlets that go with them. oh, the madness! I think I may need to get a second job to finance all this treasure hunting I have found.
