I got this US postal stationary envelope the other day mainly because I liked the colour & the embossing,
When I scanned it though the colours were not as the original.

First I scanned at 800dpi (my ususal setting) Auto Exposure Type set at Document

Which turned up nice and sharp, great colour, except it's not anywhere near the right colour.

So I rescanned at 300dpi, changed Auto Exposure Type to Photo and got this.

Which is quite close but not exactly the actually colour.

Colour wise I would call it dull mauve. Would you agree?

Hi Litho,
Colour matching is an art in itself. If you can buy/borrow/rent a screen calibrator it will be a start.
Then you only have to worry about your scanner and printer

Here is a review of a calibrator - http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/...der3pro.html
It is a very technical subject unfortunately to get your screen to match your scanner and printer accurately.
